Will it take you one or two days to get to SF? And how long are you thinking of staying? Where are you staying? I think I'd head for Sausalito. Under the bridge and turn left. Lots of marinas and a very fun upscale very close to the marinas town. Let me know if you want me to dig up more information.

Hey Tremblays, welcome to California. CHeryl and I are at the San Diego airport, just got off the amazing blues cruise trip and will be back in Vancouver tonight. Glad you've made it so far, hope the rest of the way to this lovely city is all fair winds and smooth sailing.
Hugs all around,
John and Cheryl

Thought you and Steve might like to hear a little about the blues cruise. Music from 11am to 1am every day at three or four different venues. At 1am a couple of jams would start - one where cruisers could participate, another for the pros. Last night we watched an amazing set with Elvin Bishop on the back deck cruising north at 20 knots. He called up Roy Gaines, and then Tommy Castro. When it ended at 1am we headed to the buffet for the late night snack and ended up in line right behind Elvin - we chatted with him about the set and the cruise. It's an amazing environment, Steve would love it being able to play harp with all these guys.

This morning we were in the security line at the airport with Curtis Salgado and his girlfriend in line behind us - we had met them a couple of times on the cruise. He was the inspiration for John Belushi's character in the Blues Brothers.

Other artists on the trip included Taj Mahal, Marcia Ball, Jeniva Magness, Bernard Allison, Rod Piazza and the gorgeous Miss Honey, Bobby Rush, John Lee Hooker Jr., Joe Louis walker, Chico Banks, Eric Bibb and more. Amazing.

Cheryl sends big hugs too,
John

Good to hear you are now having a great sail to San Francisco.

That huge stump was unbelievable!

Not sure what your plans are after San Francisco, but if you haven't been before, you really MUST go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It is AMAZING and the kids will love it. I think it is one of the best aquariums in the world. Whether you sail there on your way down the coast, or you take a road trip there from San Fran., I highly recommend it.

Love seeing that big smile on your face Dionne!

Have a fantastic time in the Bay area.

Hi Everyone! Enjoying your blog.
Hard to believe you have been sailing for over a month now. We often think of you. Your pic's are great. The strike is over in Vancouver so the kids are happy the FCC centre is open-just in time for the Halloween dance. I guess the Tremblay kids could be pirate's or sailors or mermaids so costumes this year should be easy.
It's been rainy here and Sarah just did girl guide camp at Hollyburn (Cypress mtn) and it snowed there. Hope the weather is good for you.
Shannon and Sarah xoxo

Hi Everyone
I just spoke to Dionne. They are anchored off of Sausalito in SF Bay. She said coming under the Golden Gate Bridge this morning was pretty cool.
We will drive out tomorrow to spend the day with them.
