Out on the deep blue sea!!

Here we are out on the ocean making another crossing - heading for Santa Barbara
This is the sunrise - Kyle and Maya are so great at the watches!!

Steve is on the boom- watching for crab traps!!! and me and my shadow!!

we sailed the first day and half and then motored as it was so calm. we took it slow 5knts. Had the moon almost full and guiding us!! I think that my uncle Bill is watching out for us!! We keep getting great weather for our over night travels.

Bryn &Carol recommended your site.We did what you are doing in 1999 in a 50ft.gaff rig schooner. We ended up in Australia, and sailed home again three years later(Saltspring Island)I see you have an artist onboard so be sure you keep an illustrated log as we did. It`s such a treasure.Bill.

Sheesh! That's just not fair Dionne. How dare you post from the Great Blue without giving us your coordinates! Where are you? What wireless network have you managed to hack into to post this?

well, you must have made it somewhere to post photos - are you actually in Santa Barbara? Anchored out in front of the beach, or were you able to get a spot at the dock? I went to University there, was my home for 5 years in the '60s. What a place it is. For me it was always the first place heading south that started to feel warm and lush and Mediterranean. The air is soft and it smells good there. Hope you get a chance to explore a bit. Hugs all around,
John and Cheryl
